Alpe di Siusi
The Seiser Alm is the highest plateau in Europe. The pasture has a size of 57 square kilometers and is situated at an altitude of 1,680 m to 2,350 m above sea level.
The 6796-ha Nature-Park Schlern – Rosengarten forms a natural unit together with the protected area of the Seiser Alm. The Schlern - which gives this park its name - and the highest elevation of the Petz (2,563 m) is an impressive mountain block and together with the towers of Santner and Euringer it constitutes the symbol of South Tyrol. In 2009, the nature park has been recorded in the UNESCO – WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE.

In summer this area is excellent for hiking, biking and mountain climbing. Especially the variety of flora attracts many tourists in summer.
In winter, a number of winter sports are possible. Particularly popular are skiing and snowboarding, as the Seiser Alm has 60 km of ski slopes, numerous lifts and a fun-park. In addition, a cross-country-skiing trail guides you through this incredible landscape for nearly 60 km. Ice-skating and tobogganing are also among the most favourite activities of our guests. Two ski schools with more than 50 ski instructors offer ski, snowboard and cross-country-skiing courses.
The access to the Seiser Alm from Kastelruth is organised by regular free bus transfers and a modern cable car. Private vehicles are allowed to use the access road to the Seiser Alm until 9am and from 5pm onwards.
